Fairfield Resorts Announces Plans to Develop 100-Unit Timeshare Resort on San Antonio's River Walk
Fairfield has announced plans to build a 10 story 100 unit resort in downtown San Antonio, TX on the riverwalk. The new resort will be known as Fairfield Resorts at La Cascada. This new resort is in additiont to the existing Riverside Suites and is separate from it. The tower is expected to be completed in late 2006. The tower will also include a 14,000 square foot retail center on the first floor and be known as La Plaza.

The new resort, to be called Fairfield San Antonio at La Cascada, will feature a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, as well as a select number of luxuriously appointed three- and four- bedroom presidential suites. All 100 units will be completely furnished, featuring fully-equipped kitchens, washer/dryer, audio/visual entertainment systems, whirlpool tubs and more. The resort's amenities will include a rooftop swimming pool and sundeck, fitness center, computer library and multi-purpose room.

Fairfield San Antonio at La Cascada will be located along the River Walk on Dwyer Avenue, less than two blocks from the downtown River Walk loop.
Recognized as one of the top entertainment destinations in Texas, the 2.5-mile River Walk is a cobblestone walkway beneath the bridges and streets of downtown San Antonio, lined with first class hotels, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, musicians and more.
Winding through the business district on both sides of the San Antonio River, the River Walk - also known as Paseo del Rio - is well-known for its riverboat rides which offer everything from sightseeing to candlelit dinner cruises.
Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2005, with completion targeted for late 2006.
Fairfield San Antonio at La Cascada will be the company's second timeshare resort in San Antonio. Riverside Suites, also a Fairfield property, is located on the River Walk north of La Cascada.
Fairfield Resorts will occupy one of two towers in the La Cascada development. Tower I at La Cascada is a 46-unit luxury condominium development, expected to be complete by the end of the year.
Fairfield San Antonio at La Cascada will be in Tower II, which will also feature La Plaza - a 14,000 square feet of mixed use retail space, which is planned to feature a restaurant and bar, convenience store, dry cleaning facility, gift shop, room service, concierge services and more.
